Lee Hall
Resume
L E E H A L L
(1934-2017)
Lee Hall pursued careers as artist, educator and writer. Her paintings demonstrate her love for subtle shapes, which she creates using variety in texturing and sophisticated, muted color relationships. Her poetic landscapes derive from the tradition of abstractions produced by meditations on nature, a tradition which includes the painters of the Sung Dynasty, as well as modernist John Marin and abstract expressionist Helen Frankenthaler.
